Currently:

I am a fifth-year clinical psychology Ph.D. candidate (M.A.) at Duke University working with Drs. Ahmad Hariri and Tim Strauman.

In my research, I am investigating the impact of normative variations in parenting on neurodevelopment. I hope to bring a cognitive neuroscience foundation to the parenting literature and ultimately inform optimal parenting practices.

In my clinical work, I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Using a strengths-based, family-systems approach, I work with clients to explore how to best approach their difficulties within their unique family and cultural context. I strongly believe in the power of vulnerability and aim to model vulnerability as a strength across all domains personal and professional.

Outside of research / clinical work / teaching, I enjoy: cuddling with my dog (see above for reference), complaining about Durham's humidity, writing poetry, and explaining to my parents that my research interests do not revolve around them.

Other things I care deeply about:

intersectional feminism, anti-racism, LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, critical thinking, poetry, laughter turning to tears & vice versa, body positivity, humility, introspection, et al.
